By using exploratory writing for my paper it gives my audience the opportunity to realize that both feminism and toxic masculinity are social issues that humanity continues to deal with. Many people either live and breathe feminism or avoid it like the plague, which can cause many men to dislike femininity and become affected by toxic masculinity. If I used argumentive writing instead this would result in anger instead of understanding.

Gender Stereotypes   Many interests, hobbies, careers,  articles of clothing, and forms of self-expression have been catorgorized as feminnie and masculine. Over time these ways of thinking have either switched from specifically masculine to specifically feminine (ex: high heels) and vice verse a, or things that were not gendered and now is and vice verse a (ex: skirts/dresses).  These labels can be realized that they are unrealistic or unethical (ex: women not being able to handle money or own property). I want to write about how history and social norms have damaged people due to assigning gender to emotions, actions, hobbies, jobs, and objects. Both men and women have to deal with gender roles, telling them how they can and can not act in order to be accepted into society. This can cause people to be emotionally closed off and often develop mental illnesses along with self-hate. I decided on this topic because of the many ways people have been shamed for being a genuine person and forced to be what they are not.
